English ivy is a hardy, evergreen vine or groundcover, with attractive creamy white-variegated green foliage. As a vine, it attaches itself by aerial rootlets to masonry walls and other surfaces such as tree trunks.
It looks great in containers and hanging baskets and trained as topiary. It's also fantastic as a groundcover, climber up walls, structures and trees, even as a sprawling shrub, does well in shade.
